How soon should I order my wedding gown?
The sooner the better. Ideally, we'd like to have four to five months. However, we have accommodated some bridal parties within a week’s notice.
What if I lose or gain weight?
When the bride orders her gown, it should be four months before the wedding. However, we often have girls that want to lose weight. With that in mind, we place the order at the size she is at that time. Our alterations are done in-house, so we can always take-in or let-out the gown based upon what her needs will be. The last fitting is usually done one to two weeks before her wedding.
How many fittings will I need?
Most brides will usually need just two. The first fitting we pin necessary changes. The second fitting is to confirm all work done is satisfactory to the customer and the seamstress.
What do I need for my fitting?
The bride will need her shoes, a good bustier and a petticoat if her skirt is full. Renee’s Bridal sells all necessary undergarments and shoes. These items can be purchased before the first fitting.
How should I order my bridesmaids’ dresses if they live out of town?
No problem. We ask the bride and her maids to select the style of their choice. We start a file including all the girls’ names and information. Bridesmaids are asked to be professionally measured in their hometown. Then they will need to phone in the measurements and the form of payment they prefer.
Why should I order all the bridesmaids dresses at the same place and time?
A dye lot is the reason. A dye lot is the process in which the fabric is colored. Bolts of fabric are dipped into each select color choice. Although very close to the color choice, not every mixture of color is exactly the same. Therefore, if different locations order the same bridesmaids style and color, the dress can be cut from separate bolts, causing slight variation in color. The result could be that all the dresses might not be the same shade when you take your photos.
Does Renee’s Bridal offer layaway?
Yes we do. In fact, we have several payment options. When a bride finds her dream dress, she can put half down and the balance is due in 90 days. However, there is a significant discount for those brides who choose to pay in full.
